Why it matters

Eunoia Design, a design team based in Hong Kong, describes 3D Holographic as a device that adds a visual layer to listening. Where a conventional speaker delivers only sound, the maker says this one displays three-dimensional imagery that appears to float in the air in time with the audio.

Display and customization

According to the maker, the core of the device is a 3D holographic display built from 149 LED lights with a stated brightness of 2100cd/㎡. A range of 3D animations comes preloaded, from dynamic geometric patterns to character designs, and the effect is said to be most striking in dark rooms.

A companion app, connected to a smartphone over Bluetooth, is used to change what appears on the display. Beyond the preset animations, the maker says users can upload their own photos and animations, for example family pictures or custom messages.

Sound, battery and build

  • Two 5W speakers
  • 4000mAh battery, charged via an included USB cable
  • Aluminum alloy and acrylic construction in a transparent design
  • Dimensions of 7.8×3.9×9.5 inches

The maker positions the battery for use at indoor parties, picnics and solo listening, and suggests the device can double as a mood light in the bedroom. It also claims the aluminum and acrylic build is lightweight yet resistant to damage from drops and impacts.
