Why it matters

Direct-to-film printing usually involves a chain of separate machines: one to print the film, another to apply adhesive powder, another to cure it, plus cutting and heat-press equipment. According to the maker, the XtraMaker M1 and M1 Pro combine all of these steps in a single enclosure, with the goal of cutting setup cost, freeing up floor space and removing the need to move film between devices.

Two sizes, one feature set

The entry-level M1 handles A4 film sheets with a maximum print area of 200mm×250mm. The maker lists its dimensions as 520×700×600mm, its weight as 57KG and maximum power draw as 1800W, positioning it for home workspaces and small custom orders such as caps, children's and pet apparel, tote bags and DIY goods.

The M1 Pro steps up to A3+ film and a 310mm×420mm maximum print area. It measures 700×900×800mm, weighs 93KG and draws up to 2000W. The maker describes it as reinforced for long continuous runs and suited to full-size adult clothing, large graphic prints and fabric interior goods. It also gains an expanded cutting range and, according to the maker, more presets geared toward continuous production.

What the 5-in-1 design covers

  • Film printing via a high-definition nozzle print head, which the maker says reproduces fine patterns, text and gradients
  • Automatic hot-powder application, designed to spread an even layer without manual shaking
  • Constant-temperature powder curing, with drying temperature adjusted automatically by material type
  • Integrated cutting that follows the outline of each design
  • Built-in heat-press transfer with temperature and time set automatically for the design and material

The maker says the printers work on cotton, polyester, denim and canvas, and that a dedicated ink formulation keeps colors vivid on dark fabrics while resisting peeling, fading and wash wear. Control runs through a touch-panel interface with a large display, savable presets for print size, drying temperature and press time, and real-time monitoring that flags ink levels and maintenance timing.

Taken together, XtraMaker pitches the pair as a way for newcomers to start a printed-goods business without assembling a multi-machine workflow, with the option of choosing the larger model for higher-volume work.
