Gloture Co., Ltd. ("we") operates Modern-G (https://modern-g.com, the "Service"). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other applicable laws.

1. Information we collect

  • Newsletter sign-up: your email address, edition language and sign-up time.
  • Inquiries: your name, email address and message.
  • Product submissions and advertising orders: company name, contact name, email address, product details and order details. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store card numbers.
  • Automatically: IP address, browser and device type, referrer, pages viewed, cookie identifiers and access times.

2. How we use it

  • To provide, run and improve the Service and show articles and product information.
  • To send the newsletter until you unsubscribe.
  • To answer inquiries, handle submissions and advertising orders, invoice and process payments, and contact you about them.
  • To measure usage, prevent abuse and keep the Service secure.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

3. Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC), which uses cookies to measure how the Service is used. For visitors from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, analytics cookies are not used until you consent.

You can opt out with Google's browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) or block cookies in your browser; some features may then not work.

4. Affiliate links

The Service contains affiliate links (Amazon Associates, Kickbooster). As an Amazon Associate, Modern-G earns from qualifying purchases. The linked sites may set their own cookies and process information under their own privacy policies.

5. Service providers and international transfers

We share personal information with the following providers only as needed to run the Service. Most are based in the United States, and data may be processed in the United States and other countries. We select providers that take appropriate measures to protect personal information.

  • Intuit Mailchimp (USA): newsletter delivery
  • Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., USA): transactional email
  • Stripe, Inc. (USA): payment processing
  • Google LLC (USA): analytics

6. Disclosure to third parties

We do not sell personal information or disclose it to third parties without consent, except as required by law. Use of the providers above is not a disclosure to third parties.

7. Security

  • Access to personal information is limited to the people who need it, with role-based permissions.
  • Connections are encrypted (HTTPS), administrative access is restricted, and credentials are protected.
  • We select and supervise our service providers.

8. Your rights

You may ask us to disclose, correct, delete or stop using your personal information, or to stop disclosing it, subject to applicable law. We will verify your identity and respond without undue delay. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time with the link in each email.
