Why it matters

Fire pits take time to set up, grills are awkward to carry, and doing both usually means packing several pieces of gear. AroundFire is built around that problem. According to the maker, the folding table merges a fire pit, a BBQ grill and a cooking table into one unit, aimed at riverside campsites, backyard gatherings and meal stops on RV trips.

Setup and portability

The maker says a proprietary dual-fold structure lets AroundFire be set up in 30 seconds with no tools: take it out of the storage bag, unfold it and lock it in place. Total weight is given as 7.3kg, and the folded size is described as roughly suitcase-sized, compact enough for a car trunk or RV storage space.

Three roles in one frame

For grilling, the maker specifies a 304 stainless steel grill grate, noting its rust and heat resistance. The table layout is meant to let everyone gather around and cook together rather than leaving one person stuck at the grill. As a fire pit, it uses an ultralight fire mesh weighing 300g, which the maker says passed more than 50 density tests and is designed to contain flames, limit flying sparks and reduce smoke. An insulated base is said to keep heat from scorching grass, wooden decks or campsite soil. In cooking-table mode, the direct flame can be used with a skillet, kettle or pot.
