Chef Station

Running out of bowls mid-chop, losing counter space halfway through a recipe, facing a long cleanup afterward: these are the problems Chef Station sets out to address. According to the maker, the system is meant to smooth the whole prep, cook and serve flow, whether for weekly batch cooking or a dinner for guests.

Modular, held together by magnets

The core idea is modularity. Five wooden components combine into a single system that can be rearranged to suit the task or the available counter, spread out for heavy chopping or kept compact on a small worktop. The maker says the components join magnetically so they don't shift or separate during use, and they come apart easily for storage. The auxiliary board also has magnetic non-slip feet for added stability.

Materials

The wood is offered in three hardwoods, which the campaign says come from sustainable sources: Brazilian teak (Cumaru) in a warm honey tone with distinctive grain, American hard maple in a clean cream color with fine grain, and American black walnut, which mixes deep chocolate tones with lighter blond hues. Oven-safe stainless steel liners protect the wood from hot food and are described as easy to clean and rust-resistant, while BPA-free silicone liners act as flexible, easy-to-wash containers that the maker says are heat-resistant and can go in the refrigerator.

The maker also positions Chef Station as serveware: the wooden pieces are intended to go straight to the table, reducing the number of tools moved around during a meal.
