Everstt Dutch Oven

A cast-iron pot whose flip-over lid doubles as a grill, aiming to replace several pans with one.

Editor’s view

Why it matters

Kitchens tend to accumulate cookware: a pot for braising, a pan for searing, a griddle for flatbreads. The Everstt Dutch Oven is pitched as a way to consolidate that collection. According to the maker, its "4in1" cooking system covers slow braising as a traditional Dutch oven, daily use as a general-purpose pot, grilling with the lid turned upside down, and griddle cooking on a flat surface.

The lid does double duty

Central to the design is what the maker calls a "dual-fire" lid. On the pot, it seals in heat; the maker says its interior is shaped to circulate heat evenly, helping braises absorb flavor and steamed food retain moisture. Flipped over, it becomes a grill plate, removing the need for a separate grilling tool. The maker also claims the tight seal lets food cook on low heat.

Material and heat

The body is made from what the maker describes as high-density cast iron, with thick walls and base meant to spread heat gradually and hold it for long periods, suiting long simmers and low-temperature cooking. The maker says the structure keeps high temperatures stable enough for searing, and that the body resists warping under repeated high-heat use. The entire surface carries a black enamel coating, which the maker says limits discoloration and sticking and makes cleanup easier.

  • Heat sources: gas, induction (IH), electric stovetops, ovens, plus open flame and barbecue outdoors, per the maker
  • Black enamel coating across the whole body
  • Ergonomically arranged handles and center of gravity, intended to keep the pot stable when lifted hot
  • Simple, modern form intended to go from stove to table
  • Offered in multiple colors, according to the maker

The overall pitch is versatility over specialization: one piece of cast iron meant for small apartment kitchens, everyday home cooking and campsite meals alike.
