HECHEER

Cooking at camp often means hunting for the knife, juggling plates with nowhere to put them, and reopening a box every time you need the salt. HECHEER's answer is not more gear but fewer containers: the whole kitchen lives in one case. Folded, the maker lists it at 730×416×385mm; deployed, it spreads to roughly 1184×744×493mm, bringing storage, prep, heating and serving into one place. At 12.5kg it is no backpacking item. It is better understood as a portable kitchen cabinet for people who drive to their campsite.

Two zones, two dishes

According to the maker, the electric cooking system has two independently controlled heating zones, so one side can boil or simmer while the other grills or sears. Each zone has its own rotary controller with a TFT display, and the system supports automatic altitude compensation. Compatible accessories named by the maker include the H01 electric kettle, ZG01 electric pot and JK01 grill plate. The top also has a dedicated space for a compatible cassette gas stove, for those who prefer an open flame. The dual-zone electric burner and the compatible stove are not part of the base configuration, and the electric burner requires a 220V, 50Hz power supply.

Height, storage and workspace

• Hydraulic lift under the top sets the work surface at about 36.3cm or 49.3cm, to suit low camp chairs or standing tasks; raising it reveals a storage layer beneath.
• Three-tier storage: a 50L lower compartment behind an aluminium door with a rotating locking handle that doubles as a temporary table; a middle layer with a built-in drainage mechanism for fresh food, cleaning supplies or wet gear; and a modular upper tier that can hold cooking appliances or be reconfigured as work surface or storage.
• Four magnetic locking pins hold the case closed in transit and release smoothly when opened.
• Gas-assisted folding side panels add workspace; front and rear extension tables on top are each rated up to 20kg.
• An integrated hanging rail for spatulas, cups, knives and towels, plus threaded mounts for light stands, racks and hanging shelves.

Beyond the campsite

The maker positions HECHEER for RV travel, car-based outings, backyard meals and gatherings, and mobile living as well as camping. The idea is a kitchen that packs back into a single case when the meal is over, rather than a collection of separate tables and racks. HECHEER is presented as a Kickstarter project.
