Repotting, watering schedules and propagation guesswork are where many would-be plant owners give up. Helix is pitched as a single pot meant to follow a plant through its whole life, from seed to mature specimen, without the usual transplanting and daily watering checks.

A pot that grows with the plant

The core idea is a folding, extendable structure. The maker says the pot can be expanded to match the plant's size, taking it from a small seedling to a large plant without repotting. Rather than growing uniformly in every direction, the campaign describes it as adding space in the direction the roots spread, which the maker claims reduces root damage and the stress plants experience when moved to a new container.

Wick-fed self-watering

A reservoir sits in the lower part of the pot. Once it is filled, a built-in wick made from recycled nylon draws water up to the soil as the plant needs it. According to the maker, this guards against both overwatering and underwatering and keeps plants supplied while owners are away travelling or on business trips.

Three accessories

• Sprout Plate: turns the pot into a simple germination setup, holding soil and distributing moisture evenly; it is removed once the seedling is established so the plant can keep growing in the same pot.
• Sprig Plate: designed for propagating cuttings, holding stems steady and integrating support and humidity management to encourage rooting.
• Trellis: a support for climbing plants such as Monstera and Pothos, with height that can be added as the plant grows.

The maker says all three attach and detach easily and store compactly when not in use. The folding body also lies flat for storage or moving, and assembly requires no tools. Helix is described as coming in multiple colours and sizes, from compact tabletop versions to larger floor-standing ones.
