iGulu F2

A countertop system that ferments, chills and pours beer, cider, kombucha and more from one machine

Editor’s view

Why it matters

Home brewing has always asked a lot of newcomers: temperature targets, fermentation times, pressure and carbonation all need managing, and mistakes show up in the glass. iGulu F2 is designed to take much of that work off the brewer's hands. The maker says that once ingredients are loaded and a compatible RFID recipe card is scanned, the system manages the temperature, pressure and other conditions fermentation requires.

More than beer

The range is broader than most brewing appliances. According to the maker, iGulu F2 handles beer, cider, wine, mead, kombucha, yogurt, kefir and apple cider vinegar. Recipe cards work with official brew kits, and the lineup includes collaboration recipes developed with breweries, with examples cited such as a stout, a hop-forward IPA and a Scottish ale.

From presets to full control

For those who want to move beyond presets, a Master Mode lets users adjust fermentation programs in detail. The maker also describes an AI voice brewing assistant that can answer questions about recipes and ingredient pairings and carry out supported operations by voice.

  • FermControl 3.0 manages temperature, pressure and oxygen during fermentation
  • Temperature range of 2–40℃ and system pressure of 2–22 PSI, per the maker
  • Pressure control using external CO₂ and a built-in air pump, plus safety mechanisms
  • iGulu App for remote monitoring of fermentation, temperature and pressure, and for starting chilling remotely
  • Chilling and serving straight from a built-in tap, with CO₂-assisted chilled storage
  • Counter-pressure filling for bottling with reduced air contact and carbonation loss
  • Removable fermentation vessel for cleaning; standard capacity of 5L

Built for the countertop

The maker positions iGulu F2 as a countertop appliance, smaller than a refrigerator but larger than typical compact kitchen gadgets. Beyond its 5L standard capacity, it is said to be designed to accommodate larger volumes and to chill and serve compatible kegs, which could make it useful for both solo experimentation and gatherings.
