Robera Neo

An AI-vision golf cart that follows on a wave, navigates by multi-band GNSS and routes around hazards

Why it matters

Robera Neo sets out to make the golf cart do more of the thinking. According to the maker, its 3D vision system and GPS mapping work together to recognise the player's movements and the surroundings in real time, calculating routes automatically while avoiding obstacles.

Following, navigating, avoiding

The smart follow mode uses the 3D vision system to track the player, and the maker says a hand wave toggles following on and off. Navigation relies on multi-frequency GNSS (GPS/Galileo/GLONASS) with access to more than 40,000 GPS maps; destinations can be set by tapping or by voice command, letting the cart move ahead of the player. Robera notes a limitation: the current consumer version navigates only within a single fairway, and moving between fairways requires manual setup in a custom map mode.

For obstacle avoidance, the maker says visual recognition and GPS data combine to detect trees, bunkers and water in real time and plan a detour. With dynamic path planning, the player marks the ball's new position on the built-in map and the cart calculates an efficient route, which Robera claims cuts battery consumption by up to 33%.

  • Remote summon: call the cart with one button from up to 100 metres away
  • Climbing: handles slopes of up to 25°, according to the maker
  • Battery: removable 288Wh pack rated for up to 27 holes per charge, with 100W fast charging
  • Build: IPX5 water resistance and a weight under 15kg including the battery

Two consumer versions, one for fleets

Robera Neo Vision is the app-only version, supporting iOS and Android with real-time device connection, notifications and over-the-air updates. Robera Neo Tablet adds a built-in camera for swing analysis and a high-resolution touchscreen with frame-by-frame reverse playback. For commercial use, Robera Neo Drive adds RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) positioning for full-course navigation and a web-based fleet management system covering real-time monitoring, remote dispatch, geofenced restricted areas and one-button summon.

According to the campaign, Robera planned to begin mass production in July 2025 and ship to backers around September to October, with a two-year warranty.
