Rokkoyo Titan Kettle

A full-titanium electric gooseneck kettle with ±1°C/°F control, built to keep metal taste out of the cup

Editor’s view

Why it matters

Pour-over enthusiasts know the water can undo careful grinding: too hot and bitterness creeps forward, too erratic a pour and the coffee bed gets churned up. The Rokkoyo Titan Kettle, a Kickstarter project, targets those details with a material choice and a set of brewing-focused features.

Why titanium

According to the maker, the kettle uses a full-titanium body made from a high-quality titanium alloy. Titanium is inert, and the maker says this keeps stray metallic notes out of the water, so the character of the beans or tea leaves comes through more cleanly. The campaign also highlights titanium's resistance to rust, presenting it as a practical benefit for a vessel that spends so much time in contact with water.

Pour and temperature control

The spout is a seamless gooseneck formed from 6mm titanium tubing. The maker says both its bore and its curve are designed to produce a steady, manageable stream, whether placing water gently at the center of the grounds or pouring in circles to saturate them evenly.

Temperature control is rated at ±1°C/°F, set and checked on a high-contrast display that also handles target and keep-warm temperatures. The campaign offers reference ranges: 198–205°F (about 92–96°C) for light roasts, 194–198°F (about 90–92°C) for medium and 185–194°F (about 85–90°C) for dark. For tea it suggests roughly 88°C for oolong, 80°C for green, 85°C for white and 91°C for black.
