Why it matters

SEEPPO TECH positions the AwalkHS as more than a mechanical brace: the company describes it as an AI-assisted partner meant to support everyday walking, demanding outdoor activity and rehabilitation. The maker says its team holds more than 190 patents, and that over 40% of its members have master's degrees or doctorates.

Three configurations

The AwalkHS is built around three adaptive modes that, according to the maker, can be switched in under 60 seconds.

  • AwalkHS-N: a lightweight setup for daily mobility such as commuting, walking and post-training recovery, using real-time AI Motion Sync to deliver smooth torque with each stride.
  • AwalkHS-L: aimed at hiking and carrying heavy loads, with a carbon fiber back frame, 70KG load offset and adaptive terrain support.
  • AwalkHS-P: focused on rehabilitation and mobility support for older users, with real-time assistance, fall detection and pairing with a two-arm walker.

Sensing and motors

At the core is what SEEPPO calls AI Motion Sync technology. The SEEPPO Motion Engine samples the wearer's movement 1000 times per second, combining data from an IMU (inertial measurement unit), FSR force sensors, angle sensors, torque sensors and current sensors to interpret gait phase, muscle use and force direction. The maker claims this produces assistance with no lag or unexpected motion.

Dual high-density brushless motors deliver up to 26Nm of torque at a stated 38dB, which the maker compares to being quieter than a whisper. A 360° Motion Safety Suite adds AI anomaly detection, real-time joint locking and motion alerts, intended to respond to hazards on slopes and uneven ground.

Build

The frame uses carbon fiber and aluminum described as aerospace-grade. SEEPPO TECH says the device weighs under 3kg while providing up to 70kg of dynamic support, and that it is designed for terrain ranging from rainforest trails and desert dunes to snowy slopes and old cobblestones. Beyond personal use, the source points to potential roles in logistics, construction and medical care, while noting open questions around price, usability and maintenance for a still-unfamiliar category.
