Why it matters

The IMALENT GR35 4-in-1 EDC Flashlight aims at a familiar everyday-carry problem: how much utility can one small object reasonably hold? IMALENT's answer, as presented on Indiegogo, is a flashlight at the core, joined by a power bank, a glass breaker and a magnetic base, pitched for outdoor use, emergency preparedness and everyday troubleshooting.

The light

According to the maker, the LED module produces 2800 lumens, with five brightness levels spanning close-up work to wide-area lighting. Red and green beam modes are also included: the maker positions red light for preserving night vision and reducing disturbance to wildlife, and green for boosting contrast when hunting or reading maps. A strobe mode is intended as a deterrent in security situations.

Build and controls

The body is made from aviation-grade aluminum alloy, which the campaign describes as having military-standard durability, though no specific standard is named. A fine surface texture is meant to improve grip with wet hands or in extreme cold. A single central button handles brightness and mode changes, and the maker says it can be operated while wearing gloves, a design it attributes to feedback from firefighters and mountain rescue teams.

Power and protection

  • Built-in lithium-ion battery rated by the maker for up to 33 hours of continuous use
  • USB-C port with power bank function for charging devices such as smartphones and GPS units
  • Four-stage LED charge indicator
  • Tungsten steel glass breaker in the tail for vehicle escape or emergency window breaking
  • Neodymium magnet in the base for hands-free mounting on metal surfaces
  • Included MOLLE-compatible case for attaching to bags or emergency gear

Looking ahead, the source mentions a development roadmap in which a UV mode and gradual increases in battery capacity are reportedly under discussion. These are described as ideas, not confirmed features.
