aigo Mini Inflator
A palm-sized inflator claiming 150PSI, a 4500mAh battery and a body 50% smaller than conventional units
Editor’s view
Why it matters
Portable inflators tend to live in car boots because they are too bulky to carry anywhere else. The aigo Mini Inflator is pitched as the exception: the maker says a redesigned internal structure cuts the size of a conventional inflator by 50%, producing a device it describes as "palm-sized" and small enough for a saddlebag, cargo bag or backpack. Exact dimensions and weight are not given in the source material.
Pressure and power
According to the campaign, the inflator reaches a maximum of 150PSI (about 10 bar), enough to span car tyres, high-pressure bike tyres, ATV tyres and lower-pressure items such as air mattresses. Power comes from a 4500mAh lithium polymer battery built from three military-grade 14500 lithium cells, paired with a 19,000RPM pure-copper permanent-magnet motor. The maker says one charge can fully inflate up to four R16 car tyres; the page also lists three 195/65R15 car tyres, eight 700C road bike tyres, or more than 100 basketballs at 8PSI.
Features at a glance
- Dual-valve system for Schrader and Presta, with a built-in switching mechanism rather than swapped nozzles
- Preset modes by use case (bike, car, ball) that inflate to a target pressure and stop automatically, plus manual pressure adjustment
- Built-in white LED light and an SOS mode with flashing red light
- USB Type-C charging: roughly 3 hours to full with a 5V/2A adapter, according to the maker
- Overcharge protection and temperature control during charging
- Noise kept under 80dB at 1 metre, per the maker
- Anti-slip finish on the casing; black and silver colourway
The package, as described, includes the main unit, two air nozzles, a ball needle adapter, a large nozzle adapter and a storage pouch, along with a manual covering operation and safety notes. The Kickstarter project page also hosts video demonstrations of the device in use.
Taken together, the aigo Mini Inflator positions itself less as a garage tool and more as everyday carry for cyclists, drivers and outdoor users who want air and an emergency light in one small package. How its real-world inflation speed compares with larger units is not specified by the maker.
