AX02

AX02 is a Kickstarter project built around a familiar EDC idea: fold as many small jobs as possible into one object that lives on your keys. According to the maker, the brass-alloy carabiner combines 12 functions in a compact body intended for both everyday use and outdoor activity.

What the maker lists

The source names several of the functions, though not all twelve individually:

• Carabiner
• Key ring
• Compass
• Bottle opener
• Blade
• Screwdriver
• Serrated knife
• DIY tools

The maker describes the serrated knife as high-precision and suited to cutting rope or opening packages. The built-in compass is positioned as an aid for navigation on outings, while the screwdriver is meant for simple repairs.

Why brass

Material is the main design statement here. The maker points to brass's corrosion resistance and natural antibacterial properties as reasons for long-term reliability outdoors, citing camping, hiking, fishing and mountain climbing as intended uses, and presents the brass finish as an aesthetic choice as much as a functional one.

The campaign frames AX02's philosophy as "expanding possibilities with one tool," positioning it as a portable, durable and versatile option for small daily problems as well as adventures and emergencies. Those are the maker's claims; the source does not provide dimensions, weight or detailed construction data to assess them.
