AX03

The AX03 is a Kickstarter project from the Ti-MAN team: a compact EDC (Everyday Carry) accessory that, according to the maker, is precision-cast from three brass blocks. It measures 8.4 cm long and weighs about 85 grams, and the team describes it as a "mini tool library" that fits in a pocket, with 12 practical functions in total.

Brass that changes with use

The body is brass, chosen in part for how it ages. The maker notes that brass develops a patina over time, so a piece carried daily on a keyring gradually takes on a muted, individual tone from handling and its environment. The design line the team uses — that the tool should be enjoyable to carry, not just to use — frames the AX03 as much an accessory as an implement.

Modular by design

The AX03 separates into its three blocks, which can be used individually or reassembled into a single tool. The campaign gives examples such as detaching the knife section for detailed work or attaching the compass unit to a different keychain.

The decorative plate does double duty: per the maker, it keeps the knife covered for safety in a pocket while preserving the look of the piece when clipped to a bag or belt.
