Why it matters
Most handheld rotary tools in this class run on 12V. BULLTEC Power, presented as a Kickstarter project, moves to what the maker calls a true 24V electric drive system paired with a brushless motor. The stated aim is to handle demanding jobs such as drilling into hard materials and polishing, in a body that weighs 475g.
Why 24V
The maker says doubling the voltage raises both torque and rotational speed, and that the brushless design reduces wear, extends service life and limits heat during continuous use. Its efficiency argument: where a 12V system must hold above 70% output under heavy load, the 24V motor can do the same work at 40-70% speed, cutting power consumption and stretching battery life for cordless and outdoor work.
One chuck for many bits
The Every Grip Chuck is a universal clamp that, according to the maker, accepts bits with shaft diameters from 0.6mm to 6mm and is tightened and released by hand, with no chuck key. The campaign positions this as a way to reuse most bits already on the market. Suggested uses range from drilling wood and metal and sanding painted surfaces to polishing car bodies, de-rusting with wire brushes and clearing debris from tile joints.
Display, noise and storage
- Touchscreen display showing throttle speed and remaining charge in real time, with speed and mode adjustment and on-screen error messages
- Operating noise of 48dB or less, per the maker, compared with the over-100dB figure it cites for many conventional power tools
- Stackable storage box with a push-button lid that pops open
- Master kit with more than 12 types of bits, each with its own slot in the box
The maker frames the tool for DIY users, home repair and automotive maintenance, as well as professionals looking for a compact cordless option. Independent figures for torque, speed, battery capacity and runtime are not given in the campaign material.
