Drapova

A palm-sized, foldable garment tool that combines a steamer and an iron, with six fabric modes

Editor’s view

Why it matters

Irons take time to set up and travel steamers often lack precision. Drapova's pitch is to cover both jobs with a single handheld unit sized for a suitcase gap or a small apartment cupboard, and to add steam sanitizing on top of wrinkle removal.

Two ways to work

According to the maker, Drapova can be used upright for steaming garments on a hanger, or horizontally as an iron on a flat surface for more detailed work such as suit shoulders or trouser seams. Delicate items like dresses and sweaters are meant for the vertical steaming mode.

The maker cites 1500W of steam output and says the device reaches working temperature 10 seconds after being switched on. Six smart fabric modes are said to adjust temperature and steam output automatically, from low heat and gentle steam for silk to high heat and strong steam for cotton and linen.
