Earvia

A camera ear cleaner with its own 4.3-inch screen, so no phone, app or pairing is needed

Why it matters

Most ear cleaning happens blind: you feel something come loose but can't confirm where the tip is or whether the job is done. Earvia, a monitor-integrated visual ear pick, is built to replace that guesswork with a live view. According to the maker, the camera pick and the 4.3-inch LCD monitor connect automatically when powered on, with no smartphone, dedicated app, Wi-Fi setup or pairing required.

Seeing where the tip is

The maker says the camera section that enters the ear canal measures about 3.6mm in diameter, with a focal distance of 1.5–2cm. The image is displayed at 60Hz, which the campaign says makes small hand movements easier to follow on screen. Because the screen is dedicated to the task, there's no switching between apps on a phone.

A frequent problem with camera tools is directional mismatch: moving your hand one way while the image seems to move the other. Earvia offers vertical and horizontal image flipping so the display can be set to whatever orientation feels natural, which the maker positions as useful both for self-care and for cleaning a child's or family member's ears.

Recording, charging and hygiene

  • One-touch photo and video capture of the ear canal, with playback through the monitor's built-in album
  • microSD storage up to 256GB (card not included)
  • Physical buttons and an icon menu; Japanese language display supported
  • Magnetic storage case that starts contact charging automatically when the pick is returned
  • Monitor battery: 600mAh, about 2 hours of continuous use; ear pick: 230mAh, about 70 minutes
  • Five replaceable silicone ear pick covers included, allowing separate covers per user

The maker recommends wiping the pick head and camera with a soft cloth or cotton swab after use. By combining the monitor, storage and charging in one set, the design aims to keep the tool in one place and ready for the next session, an approach suited to a household sharing a single device.
