FollowFit

An electric outdoor wagon that uses on-board AI vision, not a beacon, to follow the person ahead of it.

Why it matters

Hauling gear across a campsite, especially with a child in hand or on a slope, is the problem FollowFit sets out to solve. The maker bills it as the world's first electric wagon with AI vision, built around the idea of freeing the user's hands, and frames its philosophy as technology that assists people rather than replaces them.

Three ways to move

The core of the design is switching between three modes. In Smart Follow mode, the maker says AI visual tracking identifies and follows the user without an extra receiver or remote. Where UWB-based followers track a signal, FollowFit is described as tracking the person. The campaign claims data is processed at millisecond speeds for lag-free following, and that the wagon adjusts its speed if someone suddenly crosses its path.

Pull Assist mode keeps the feel of a hand-pulled wagon while adding electric assistance for hills, heavy loads and tight spaces. Remote Control mode allows 360-degree maneuvering over a range of up to 100 meters, so the wagon can, for example, be sent ahead to a riverbank. Modes are selected from a control handlebar: a long press of the power button turns it on or off, indicator lights show its status, and no smartphone app or Bluetooth pairing is involved.

Vision, wheels and privacy

According to the maker, the camera also recognizes obstacles such as rocks and trees and steers around them, while LED lights illuminate the path at night. Processing is done on the device via edge computing, with no data sent to the cloud. Anti-slip, tank-style all-terrain wheels are designed for mud, rocky ground and grass, and the chassis is rated to support up to 100kg statically.

  • Up to 180 liters of cargo space when unfolded, expandable via a rear panel
  • One-pull folding design for car-trunk storage
  • IPX5 water resistance
  • Removable, swappable battery rated for up to 15km of continuous use
  • 10W USB output (5V/2A) for charging phones or cameras
  • RGB indicator lights showing mode and battery level, turning red when the battery is low

Taken together, the claims describe a wagon meant to carry a family's camping, hiking or picnic gear while leaving everyone's hands free. Its real-world tracking reliability and terrain performance have not been independently verified by Modern-G.
