MagX

Everyday-carry setups tend to accumulate clips, rings and carabiners. MagX takes a different approach: a magnetic connector machined from titanium that, the maker says, lets items be attached and detached in an instant, from a set of keys or a USB drive up to heavier tools.

How it works

The core idea is a magnetic snap-on, snap-off mechanism. According to the maker, the magnets are strong enough to hold keys, USB drives and heavy tools securely, and the design is meant to be simple and reliable rather than fiddly.

To keep the magnets themselves in place, the maker describes what it calls Loctite technology: an industrial adhesive combined with a gasket-locker structure, intended to keep the magnets fixed under any conditions, including harsh environments. The body is titanium, which the maker says keeps it lightweight while resisting corrosion and wear for long-term use.
