Why it matters
PeaCut comes from Logical Carry, a team the source describes as designers and CNC machining engineers with more than 10 years of experience in knife and tool manufacturing. The result is a keychain cutter small enough to disappear among your keys: according to the maker, it measures just 19.9mm tall and weighs 2.89 grams.
For scale, the campaign compares it to a US quarter (5.67 grams), claiming PeaCut is roughly 30% lighter, and to a Tylenol capsule (about 22mm), which it undercuts in length. The maker also states it can pass TSA security screening.
Bolt-action blade
The blade deploys and retracts via a bolt-action mechanism in 0.8 seconds, the maker says. It extends only when the bolt is actuated and retracts automatically after use, which the campaign presents as a guard against accidental cuts. The CNC-machined titanium internals are claimed to keep working through dust, sweat and extreme cold.
Materials
The body is aircraft-grade titanium, which the maker describes as corrosion- and scratch-resistant and tolerant of sweat and salt water, with a natural gunmetal finish. The blade is 440C steel, heat-treated by a specialist knife maker; the campaign says it balances edge retention and rust resistance and is sharp enough to slice through five-layer cardboard.
Glow options
The body has three 1.5*6mm slots for tritium tubes, offered as an optional add-on in the campaign's reward tiers. Tritium is self-luminous, with a glow said to last 10 to 25 years. As an alternative, the maker offers a rechargeable glow module that is brighter at first but shorter-lasting.
