Why it matters
STILL starts from a simple premise: that handwriting has been squeezed out by phone keyboards and fragmented notes. Its answer is a fountain pen fitted with a brush-style nib, intended to make writing feel expressive rather than merely functional.
A nib that follows the hand
The defining feature is a flexible nylon brush nib. According to the maker, line width varies from 0.3mm to 3.0mm depending on pressure: a light touch gives a 0.3mm hairline, a normal grip about 1.2mm, and added pressure up to 3.0mm. The campaign says no training is required and describes the nylon as combining brush-like softness with fountain pen handling.
Titanium body
The body is precision-machined from GR5 titanium and weighs 30g, the maker says. The barrel is fully smooth with no added texture, and its 10.2mm diameter is designed to suit both a conventional fountain pen grip and an angled, brush-style hold. The campaign credits numerous prototypes for the final balance and claims reduced fatigue during long writing or sketching sessions.
A cap with four jobs
- Standing: a flat top lets the inverted cap stand upright on a desk
- Anti-roll: a teardrop cross-section keeps it from rolling
- Pen rest: a 1cm×2mm side groove holds the barrel mid-writing so the nib stays off the desk
- Sealing: a threaded closure and internal gasket are said to keep the nib from drying out, even after weeks or months unused
STILL accepts both a converter for bottled ink and cartridges. An ink window on the barrel shows remaining ink and, per the maker, aligns with the cap's side groove when closed. A black ink cartridge and three replacement nylon tips are included.
Six finishes are listed: Quiet Titanium, Midnight Black, Ink Blue, Horizon Blue, Moss Green and Mist Purple. Optional full-grain leather sleeves in British Tan or Black, with a soft lining, are also offered.
