Swiftbuild Pro

A cordless, handheld pump that draws leftover resin from an SLA vat back into a bottle in under 90 seconds

Editor’s view

Why it matters

Emptying a resin vat is the least glamorous part of resin printing: lifting a slippery tray, tilting it over a bottle, losing what clings to the corners, then cleaning everything with IPA. Swiftbuild Pro is a handheld tool built to take over that step. According to the maker, it can draw all the residual resin in a vat back into its bottle in under 90 seconds.

How it works

The device is designed for one-handed use. You insert the nozzle into the vat and tap a touch panel, and the pump starts drawing resin automatically, leaving the other hand free. The maker describes the panel, revised for this second-generation model, as sealed and waterproof, so it is meant to keep responding when coated with IPA or uncured resin, or operated with wet hands. There are no complex button sequences or mode settings.

The nozzle has a thin, angled tip shaped to sit close to the vat film and reach into corners and narrow gaps. The maker says it can also pick up small spills on the work surface. A one-way valve inside the nozzle is intended to stop backflow and drips the moment the tip leaves the liquid.

Design details, according to the maker

  • Recovery and IPA cleaning in one unit, using the same tubing path
  • Detachable 500ml storage bottle made from a chemical-resistant material; spare bottles can be swapped in when changing resin colors or types
  • Modular layout that physically separates the pump from the resin path, so resin is not meant to enter the pump; only the removable tubing and bottle need cleaning
  • Cordless, powered by two built-in 18650 rechargeable batteries and charged over USB-C
  • Second-generation refinements, including the sealed touch panel, an enlarged 500ml bottle and what the maker calls a high-precision electronic control system

The cordless design is pitched at workshops running several printers, where a single unit can be carried between machines rather than tied to an outlet. The maker also notes that standard phone chargers or power banks can be used for charging.

The campaign frames the changes as a response to feedback from users of the first-generation system, aimed at both newcomers to resin printing and creators who print daily.
