Vytasync
An app-controlled air-bladder pillow that paces your breathing and offers a cervical traction mode
Editor’s view
Why it matters
Most pillows are passive: a fixed height, a fixed firmness. Vytasync takes a different approach, building its support around inflatable air bladders that can move on a schedule. The maker pitches it at two common sleep complaints at once: a mind that won't switch off at night, and neck stiffness built up from long days at a desk or on a phone.
Breathing guidance and traction
The first headline feature is a breathing-guidance mode. The air bladders inflate and deflate rhythmically, and the idea is that you inhale as they swell and exhale as they contract, letting the pillow keep the count rather than doing it in your head. The campaign references the 4-7-8 breathing technique as the kind of practice this is meant to make easier.
The second is a cervical traction mode, which the maker says recreates the traction movement used in clinical treatment through bladder inflation, gradually and gently widening the space around the cervical spine during sleep. The campaign claims that over 30 days of continued use, users can feel gradual correction of cervical misalignment; that is a manufacturer claim, not an independently verified result.
Support that adapts to position
An adaptive dual air-bladder system adjusts inflation in real time, according to the maker. On your back, the lower bladder fills to support the neck's natural curve; turn onto your side and one bladder raises height to compensate for shoulder width and keep the neck level. An ergonomically zoned shape extends toward the upper shoulders so the head, neck and shoulders are supported together.
- Electronics-free pillow body: power and circuitry sit in an external control box connected by tubing
- Low-noise operation the maker describes as around whisper level
- iOS and Android app to tune breathing pace, traction strength and inflation range, with no subscription or extra fees for features, per the maker
- Dimmable ambient LED with adjustable brightness and color that pulses in sync with breathing and traction modes
- Breathable mesh outer fabric
- Firm and Soft versions
- 100-night free trial and one-year warranty, according to the source
The two firmness options target different sleepers: the maker positions Firm for those wanting strong neck support, such as desk workers with heavy neck stiffness, and Soft for side sleepers with broad shoulders or anyone who prefers a gentler sink.
