White rabbit®
A ceiling-track home companion that merges lighting, 360-degree cameras and speakers, steered by on-device AI
Editor’s view
Why it matters
Lamps, speakers and security cameras tend to multiply around a home, each with its own footprint and its own controls. PenguinsInnovate's answer is White rabbit®, a single device that hangs from a track and, according to the maker, combines lighting, sound and vision with AI that responds to what people in the room are doing.
Light that moves with you
The maker says White rabbit® carries 30 dual-temperature LEDs (2700K–7000K) and 5 RGB LEDs, with output of up to 16,000 lumens. Brightness, color temperature and beam type can reportedly be adjusted independently in real time, from a focused reading spot to diffuse ambient light or party colors. A 360-degree panoramic recognition system and posture-recognition algorithms are said to let the device reposition itself as a person moves, while a presence sensor switches it on and off. Control is by gesture — raising a hand near the head to wake it, flicking a wrist to change brightness or mode — or through a companion app. The maker also describes a circadian mode that mimics the natural sunlight spectrum and an ambient light sensor that adjusts output automatically.
Cameras and sound
Four 1080p cameras provide a 360-degree panoramic view, with 2K HD live VR viewing through the app, according to the campaign. Suggested uses include capturing meetings, family moments and room monitoring; a security mode can detect unusual movement during set hours and sound an alarm. A 3D depth album feature stores footage for immersive playback, and the maker states that all video is stored locally on the device, manageable from iOS and Android. Dual speakers and an AI voice assistant handle music, podcasts and everyday questions, with lighting that can sync to music and audio that is said to follow the listener's position.
On-device AI and hardware
PenguinsInnovate says an onboard AI processor delivers millisecond-level response, that core functions run on the device without sending data to the cloud, and that it keeps working with Wi-Fi disconnected. It is also said to learn routines and act proactively, with software updates planned to add features over time.
