Why it matters
Switch 2 owners playing handheld have long had to choose between the comfort of a Pro Controller and the portability of Joy-Con, which can cramp hands over long sessions and raise worries about stick drift. abxylute's answer is a deck-style controller the console slots into, with full Switch 2 compatibility, according to the maker.
N6: Pro Controller features in a handheld shell
The maker says the N6 carries the core functions of the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller, including native motion control, rumble, full system recognition and responsive input, and adds turbo and programmable controls with custom mapping and macros. Deeply curved full-size grips are meant to spread the console's weight across the palm. abxylute specifies a 7-inch grip width, deliberately narrower than the console itself to keep hands in a neutral position, and an 8.5cm grip height close to that of a full-size controller to help keep wrists straighter.
Hall effect joysticks use magnetic, contactless sensing, which the maker says eliminates internal friction and the wear behind drift. Stick throw is quoted at 23°, versus 18° on Joy-Con, and POM anti-wear rings are said to reduce friction further. Inputs are specified as conductive rubber ABXY buttons, a tactile-switch D-pad, tactile clicky shoulder buttons and linear digital triggers with a stated 0–100% input range, laid out in an offset arrangement intended to reduce accidental presses.
- Adjustable rumble switchable on the controller at 0%, 40%, 70% or 100% via a button combo, driven by dual linear motors
- Native 9-axis motion control matched to the Switch 2's built-in gyro, with no artificial filtering, per the maker
- Forward-facing speaker output and a small resonance chamber the maker says boosts bass by about 10%
- A dedicated C button mapped directly to Switch 2 GameChat
- Wired USB-C connection for low latency, plus an open charging port for play while charging
- Colors: Translucent Black and Indigo Purple
N9C: a GameCube-inspired limited edition
The N9C adopts an NGC (Nintendo GameCube)-inspired layout with a centered A button. According to the maker, its ABXY buttons and triggers use mechanical microswitches, paired with tactile shoulder buttons and a responsive D-pad, and button remapping is supported. Its capacitive joysticks are described as drift-free and resistant to magnetic interference, with swappable 8-way or round gate rings. A built-in hatch holds two swappable batteries that can reverse-charge the Switch 2, and each unit ships with C-stick-style and ring-type stick caps.
