Aerfold

Vacuum storage bags promise space, but they usually demand effort in return: fetching a vacuum cleaner, rolling out air by hand, and re-compressing bags that slowly puff back up. Aerfold, presented as a Kickstarter project, tries to remove those steps by pairing a compression bag with a compact electric pump and a design meant to hang rather than stack.

Less bulk, held longer

The maker says Aerfold cuts the volume of soft items such as winter coats, sweaters, duvets and pillows by up to 60%. Two sizes are described: a 35L bag said to hold roughly seven days of summer outfits, and a 117L bag intended for larger items like duvets, blankets and pillows. To keep air from creeping back in, the bag uses an anti-backflow valve and a sealing structure with improved airtightness. In a 7-day comparison cited by the maker, a typical vacuum bag gradually re-inflated while Aerfold stayed compressed.

Pump, materials and hanging design

Compression is handled by the pump: close the bag, attach the pump to the valve and press a button. With the appropriate nozzle, the same pump can also inflate pool floats, air mattresses and air pillows. The bag is made from 70D nylon plus TPU, with a water-resistant surface meant to repel everyday splashes and a sealed construction that the maker says limits dust ingress.

The defining feature is the integrated hanging design: compressed garments can hang in a closet inside the bag, freeing shelves and floor space and making use of vertical room. A transparent viewing window lets owners identify contents without opening and re-compressing the bag, which the maker positions as useful for home storage, travel packing and everyday sorting alike.
