CableTime ScreenDock

Working from a laptop often means chaining hubs together for peripherals and adding an external monitor that brings its own cables and power cord. CableTime's ScreenDock proposes folding both jobs into a single device: a dock with eight ports and a small secondary screen mounted directly on it, connected to the laptop over one USB-C cable.

A second screen on the dock itself

The defining feature, according to the maker, is a built-in 5.5-inch screen on an adjustable structure whose angle and position can be set to suit the user's eye line and posture. The idea is to keep reference material, chat or a schedule in view alongside the main laptop display without switching windows. CableTime describes the panel as high resolution with good color reproduction, suited to document viewing, image editing and video calls. The hinge is said to hold its position once adjusted.

Windows, Mac and an AI dashboard

The maker says the ScreenDock runs a dedicated system designed for both Windows and Mac workflows. It also includes what CableTime calls an AI-optimized dashboard for organizing open windows, showing shortcuts to frequently used tools and managing a work schedule, with customizable content. USB display drivers are built into the unit, which the maker says simplifies setup to a single USB-C connection and a simple installation.

Ports and build

• Eight ports in total, including USB-A and 100W USB-C, per the maker
• USB-C with PD charging to power the connected laptop
• HDMI video output, a card reader and an audio jack
• Ports supporting high-speed data transfer
• Folding screen that stows into the body for carrying
• Metal frame, with a movable arm designed to protect the display in transit
• Stain-resistant surface finish

CableTime positions the ScreenDock as compact enough to slip into a laptop bag, aimed at remote workers, frequent travelers and anyone juggling multiple documents on a small desk.
