Most power banks compete on capacity. CORE POWER BANK S takes the opposite approach: its premise is that a battery is only useful if you actually bring it. According to the maker, the 5000mAh unit measures 0.2 inches (about 5.8mm) thick and weighs about 2.8oz (78g), slim enough to slip into a running vest, the back pocket of a cycling jersey or a small gear pouch.

Semi-solid cell, carbon fiber shell

Inside is a semi-solid-state battery, a technology positioned between conventional liquid lithium-ion and all-solid-state cells that reduces liquid electrolyte to improve structural stability. The maker says the cell did not catch fire or explode across three puncture tests or in a 3-ton compression test. The exterior is woven carbon fiber, which the maker uses to add protection against impact and puncture without adding weight.

The campaign also lists IPX7-equivalent water resistance for rain and sweat, and an operating temperature range of -20℃ to 60℃, aimed at use from winter outings to summer activities.

Fast charging and a low-power mode

Output tops out at 22.5W via PD/QC fast charging. In the maker's testing, an iPhone Air reached 50% in about 30 minutes. For earbuds, smartwatches and other small devices, a double-click of the button switches to a 5W low-power mode, signaled by an orange indicator. The maker says this mode reduces heat and, in its tests, increased usable energy by up to 35%.

Those figures come from the maker's internal testing, and the campaign notes that real-world results vary with conditions and device state. While the design leans toward trail running, the maker also pitches it for hiking, cycling, travel and everyday carry.
