DockOrb A1

Most meeting tools live in software. DockOrb A1 puts the job on the desk instead: a compact device that, according to the maker, records meetings, helps sort out who said what, and produces transcripts and summaries, while also serving as a hub for power and an external display.

Recording at the press of a button

The maker highlights a dedicated record button that starts capture in one click, aimed at the first minutes of a call when people are still opening links and documents. The unit runs on USB power rather than an internal battery, which the maker presents as a way to avoid a flat device just before an important meeting.

Speakers, transcripts and summaries

DockOrb A1 supports speaker identification, transcription and meeting summaries, the maker says, with the goal of turning minutes from a writing task into a reviewing task. The campaign describes the device as designed to make use of AI from OpenAI, Gemini and Claude, though it does not detail how these services are integrated.

A hub as well as a recorder

Beyond recording, the maker lists 100W PD (Power Delivery) charging and a 4K@60Hz HDMI output, positioning the device as a single point for powering a laptop and driving an external monitor during calls. It is built around Type-C connectivity.

• One-click recording via a dedicated button
• Speaker identification, transcription and summaries
• Designed to use OpenAI, Gemini and Claude AI
• 100W PD charging
• 4K@60Hz HDMI hub function
• USB-powered, no internal battery
• Stated compatibility: Mac, Windows 7/8/10/11, Linux, Android, iOS, Switch

The appeal is consolidation: one compact object handling recording, connection and power, rather than a separate recorder, charger and dongle crowding the desk.
