Smartphone cameras have become capable enough for everyday video and vlogging, but steady footage still depends on how the phone is held or mounted. DuoMagiX approaches that problem with a folding stand that, according to the maker, is thin enough to carry in a pocket and expands into a stand, a simple selfie grip or a tripod adapter.

Magnetic mounting

The maker says DuoMagiX uses an N52-grade ring-shaped neodymium magnet compatible with MagSafe, holding iPhone 12 through 16 series models either directly or in a MagSafe-compatible case. For iPhones without MagSafe and for Android phones, an included positioning magnetic ring is supplied. The campaign notes that the fit may vary depending on the shape of the case.

Built for accessories

A cold shoe mount accepts separately sold accessories such as external camera microphones or LED lights, while a standard 1/4-inch threaded hole allows the stand to be attached to tripods and desktop stands. The maker frames this combination as a way to improve lighting and audio for vlogs and live streams, and to keep the phone stable for night or long-exposure shots.

A double damping hinge is said to allow smooth angle adjustment and hold the phone at any chosen position, and the phone can be switched between landscape and portrait orientation for video viewing, social media or remote meetings.
