Why it matters

Most desk lamps force a trade-off: turn them up and the monitor picks up glare, turn them down and paper notes become hard to read. Shift in your chair and the light can end up in your eyes. Elunvia is pitched as an answer to exactly that, combining position tracking with indirect lighting.

Radar tracking without a camera

The maker says Elunvia uses a 24GHz radar sensor that never captures or records images, locating the user's head and body in real time via radio waves. When you lean back, lean in or slide sideways, the lamp is said to adjust the direction and coverage of its light automatically, so you don't have to reposition the arm by hand. Because radar doesn't depend on ambient light, the company says tracking stays stable at dusk or in a dark room. A movable arm provides height and depth adjustment, and the body is described as compact enough not to crowd a desk.

Indirect light and a warmer spectrum

Rather than aiming LEDs straight at the work surface, Elunvia routes light through an internal reflective structure that diffuses it before it reaches the desk. According to the maker, this reduces mirror-like reflections on monitors and tablets, spreads brightness evenly to avoid harsh light-dark contrast, and avoids stinging glare even if you glance directly at the lamp.

The company also says blue light is suppressed at the LED element level rather than with an added filter, producing an amber-toned light it describes as less stimulating to the body clock during late work. Brightness is finely adjustable for reading, note-taking or relaxing.

  • 24GHz radar sensor for camera-free position tracking
  • Indirect, reflected lighting designed to reduce screen glare
  • Blue light suppressed at the LED element, amber-toned output
  • Gradual dimming toward a set time to ease the shift to rest
  • Minimal design in multiple colour and finish options

A gradation dimming feature lowers brightness step by step toward a time you set, which the maker frames as a gentler wind-down than switching lights off abruptly. The minimal form is intended to fit home offices, living-room workspaces and bedrooms, with several colour variations in different textures offered.
