Most dual-monitor setups accumulate clutter: separate chargers, power strips, LED strips and video cables competing for desk space. The KOVADEX X1 is pitched as a way to consolidate that sprawl into a single desk hub built around two monitor arms.

Freestanding aluminium arms

The maker says the base and both arms are made from aerospace-grade aluminium alloy, with the base and stand together weighing 5.88kg. That mass is what holds the unit in place: there is no clamp and no drilling, which the maker positions as a fit for rented furniture, hot desks and frequent rearrangement. Each arm rotates 360 degrees independently, so one screen can sit in portrait while the other stays landscape, and an internal gas-spring style mechanism is said to make height and tilt adjustments nearly effortless, even with monitors in the 36-inch class.

According to the maker, the arms attach to the base with a tool-free snap joint secured by a hand-tightened screw with a damping mechanism to prevent overtightening, and setup through to mounting the monitors and plugging in takes under 5 minutes.

Power, light and storage in the base

• Charging: up to 100W total output across three USB-C ports and one USB-A port, fed by one wall cable
• Lighting: more than 80 preset RGB modes, switched by touch and powered from the same cable
• Storage: magnetic brackets on both sides of the base for headphones, phones or controllers, with modular swaps for separately sold accessories
• Cable management: hollow channels inside both arms to hide video and charging cables

The intended result, per the campaign, is a desk where the only visible cable is the one running to the wall outlet, and where rotating or repositioning the monitors does not tug on routed cables.
