FUNKU F1/F1PRO

FUNKU builds its products around a laser engine, and according to the maker, the F1/F1PRO uses a dual system of dynamic optical path correction and intelligent temperature control. The body folds down for transport, and a hydraulic lifting rod lets the working height be adjusted to suit the job.

Precision, speed and materials

The maker cites a repeat accuracy of 0.01mm and an engraving speed of 5000mm per second, the latter attributed to high-speed galvanometer technology. FUNKU says the machine handles more than 20 materials, including wood, leather, plastic, metal and glass. A dedicated rotary attachment is said to allow engraving on round objects from 2mm to 200mm in diameter, including cones, cylinders and the inside and outside of rings, while a dedicated extension table expands the engraving area to up to 100×300mm.

Software and controls

According to the maker, the F1/F1PRO integrates with LightBurn and supports file formats such as DXF, PLT and HPGL, so existing design workflows can be used for path planning and parameter tuning. On the machine itself, a 3.5-inch touchscreen handles operation, and FUNKU says full functionality is available without an internet connection.

FUNKU states that it ran 12 rounds of prototype testing and more than 500 hours of cumulative engraving tests to check stability and safety. The company also says it offers an open-source parts library for user modifications and has set up a dedicated logistics channel with partners.
