Most compact inflators struggle with the large-volume tires on EVs and SUVs: long run times, heat buildup and thermal shutdowns. IDEABRO's answer with the PulseAire is more displacement and more power, plus a set of convenience features for people who top up several vehicles.

Bigger cylinder, more airflow

According to the maker, the PulseAire uses a 30mm-diameter cylinder with a 706mm² intake area, which it says delivers up to 2.5 times the airflow of conventional small-cylinder pumps. Paired with a 150W motor, IDEABRO cites internal testing showing inflation up to 2.6 times faster than a typical 19mm pump, which it contrasts with the roughly 60W motors common in the category. The maker also says shorter run times limit heat buildup, letting the pump fill a large vehicle tire from empty to 3.0Bar without losing output.

Battery and pressure range

The built-in battery is rated at 8000mAh, which IDEABRO describes as a true, not inflated, capacity. The maker says one full charge covers inflating four tires on an EV such as a Tesla, and that internal endurance testing filled fully deflated R22 tires on 4 to 5 vehicles in a row. Maximum pressure is 150PSI (about 10.3Bar), which the maker positions as enough for road bikes, off-road bikes, e-bikes, sports balls, pool floats and air mattresses as well as cars.
