JETBEAM E28

JETBEAM, which the source says has focused on high-performance flashlights since its founding in 2004, pitches the E28 as an all-in-one everyday-carry light rather than a single-purpose torch. According to the campaign, it was improved based on input from crowdfunding supporters.

The spot and flood share the front face, switched via the rotary dial. Control is split between that dial, which selects modes and a lockout setting to prevent accidental activation in a bag, and a side button that handles power, output levels and selection of the RGB, UV and laser functions. The maker lists 9 lighting modes in total, including flashing and SOS patterns.

The laser comes in two regional versions: Class I (0.39mW or less) for the UK, EU and other countries, and Class 3R (5mW or less) for the US. The campaign says buyers in regions with specific rules can contact the developer for a compliant version.

Power and mounting

A quick-swap battery design lets the cell be released in seconds by unlocking and pressing a button. USB Type-C charging supports up to 3A, with a full charge taking about 5 hours, according to the maker. A battery indicator flashes red below 10%, orange at 10–34%, green at 35–95%, and stays solid green above 95%. The E28 can also act as a power bank for a phone. The charging port is described as waterproof even without its rubber cap, which mainly keeps out dirt and mud; the product is rated IPX8.

A rear expansion port accepts the included clip, a bike bracket or a GoPro bracket, and the developer says more accessories are planned. A magnetic tail cap and a tripod socket round out the hands-free options. Color can reportedly be chosen at the survey stage.
