Loki-Nav packs four tools into a single compact body: a compass, a loupe, a mirror and a wood chip maker. The maker positions it for camping, climbing and emergency preparedness, as well as everyday carry. According to the maker, the body is built from GR5 titanium and aluminum to balance durability and low weight, and it carries an IPX8 water resistance rating.

Compass and loupe

The compass needle sits in high-quality white oil, which the maker says gives smoother, more accurate movement and stable readings through extreme temperature swings. The compass module is replaceable, with a choice of 3 different cores, and can be removed by pushing a toothpick into a small hole, a detail aimed at easy maintenance.

The loupe offers 12x magnification and is mounted on a universal joint that rotates in all directions and locks at the needed angle. The maker pitches it for reading small print and maps, observing plants and insects, close-up tasks such as checking a splinter, and focusing sunlight to start a fire.

Cap, mirror and carry

The cap rotates 360 degrees and locks in position, protects the compass and loupe from scratches and impact, and has a specially treated surface that works as a wood chip maker, shaving fine tinder from wood without a knife, according to the campaign. A concealed mirror can reflect sunlight to signal companions or rescuers, or serve as a compact grooming mirror; the maker describes it as very thin yet scratch-resistant.
