Luminos Pro

HILIGHT describes the Luminos Pro, presented as a Kickstarter project, around a simple brief: keep eyes comfortable, keep work moving, and support creative tasks. The result, according to the maker, combines eye-care measures, flexible positioning and high color rendering in a single clamp-mounted lamp.

Light quality and eye comfort

The maker says the lamp uses LED chips designed to minimize harmful blue light at the source, and that it carries RG0 safety certification. HILIGHT also claims 0% flicker at every brightness level, which it says was verified through high-speed camera testing. A polarization control technology is said to direct light precisely onto the workspace, suppressing glare on screens, strong reflections and hotspots.

The light comes from 182 high-brightness 2835 LEDs spread evenly across the lamp head. According to HILIGHT, each uses full-spectrum color technology with a color rendering index (CRI) of 95 or higher, aimed at design work, photo editing and reading.

Base, clamp and articulation

HILIGHT says it developed a new base structure optimized for balance with a long arm, keeping the lamp steady whether extended or folded. The clamp knob has been moved from underneath to the top so it can be operated without bending down, and the reinforced clamp is said to fit thick desks, with rubber pads protecting the surface. All lighting controls sit on the base, so brightness and color temperature can be changed without touching or shaking the lamp head.

Positioning relies on a precision ball-joint articulation system with a locking mechanism. An extended mode raises the lamp to cover wide areas or multi-screen setups, while a compact mode focuses light for writing, sketching or reading. Each axis has a reinforced rotary locking knob that, according to the maker, prevents gradual loosening or sagging with daily repositioning.
