Why it matters

The idea behind MagGo Air is simple: drop the zipper entirely. According to the maker, a magnetic locking system lets the bag be opened and closed with one hand, which the campaign pitches as useful on crowded trains or on the move. Without a zip, there is also no zipping noise, so the bag can be opened quietly.

Inside and out

Inside, the maker describes a dedicated storage area it calls the "Amber Space," intended to keep contents from shifting around and make items quicker to find. The campaign says it can organize a laptop, tablet and smaller accessories.

The body is protected by what the maker calls an EVA Shield, a material it says offers impact resistance to help guard electronics against drops and knocks. Water resistance is rated IPX3, which the maker positions as protection against sudden rain and splashes.

Key features, according to the maker

  • Zipperless magnetic closure designed for one-handed opening
  • "Amber Space" interior organization area
  • EVA Shield body with impact resistance
  • IPX3 water resistance
  • Two-way carry as a sling bag or waist bag, with adjustable straps
  • Lightweight, compact build aimed at all-day carry

MagGo Air converts between shoulder-slung and waist-worn styles, and the maker says the straps adjust easily for a comfortable fit regardless of wearer. It describes the bag as lightweight and minimalist while still holding daily essentials, and suggests uses ranging from commuting and business travel to outdoor and sports activities.
