Masverano Wallet 2

The Masverano Wallet 2 started from a complaint many minimalist-wallet owners will recognize: according to the maker, the development team found the aluminum compact wallets common on the market cold and heavy, and set out to build something easier to use with a more refined design. The result is a wallet built around aerospace-grade carbon fiber.

Materials and construction

The exterior uses 3K carbon fiber, a material the maker notes is also used in aircraft, chosen for strength, durability and low weight. Elsewhere, the maker cites durable PA66 (nylon resin) and a stretchy silicone band intended for long-term use. The carbon fiber plates also serve as the wallet's RFID blocking layer, which the maker says significantly reduces the risk of card data being skimmed.

Storage and accessories

A two-slot layout is designed to hold cards, bills, coins and keys. The maker gives these example configurations:

• 4 cards + 10 business cards
• 8 credit cards
• 4 credit cards + 5 cash notes

New to this version is a quick-release ring intended to make pulling out cards and keys faster. A dedicated holder accepts an Apple AirTag for tracking via the Find My app, and the maker says it can double as a Moto holder for motorcycle keys. Other add-ons include a credit-card-sized acrylic mirror with a scratch-resistant coating, interchangeable color bands to accent the black base design, and an engraving service for names or initials.

Masverano Wallet 2 is a Kickstarter project, and the source describes the Masverano Wallet brand as having had prior success on the platform. The maker positions it as a wallet suited to increasingly cashless everyday carry.
