Why it matters
InnovaLab is positioning the MiroPower Air as more than a backup battery, built around four priorities: thinness, strength, looks and function. It comes in two versions, 5000mAh and 10000mAh, which the maker says measure 7.1mm and 12.8mm thick respectively, and both are described as permitted in aircraft cabins.
Glass, steel and aluminum
The face uses what the maker calls super ceramic shield glass, claimed to offer more than 3 times the surface hardness of typical tempered glass. Behind it sits a 0.2mm reinforced steel layer intended to improve impact resistance without adding bulk. The full aluminum-alloy frame is said to deliver roughly 2 times the strength of conventional aluminum housings, reducing deformation and damage from drops.
Thin cells, two chips
The slim profile comes from ATL lithium cobalt oxide cells with an energy density of up to 745Wh/L, which the campaign compares favorably with typical lithium polymer batteries. Power management is split across a Southchip wireless-charging chip and an Injoinic charging-control chip, which the maker says work together to cut wasted power, improve efficiency and extend battery life.
A dedicated temperature-control chip monitors usage in real time. According to the maker, surface temperature stays at or below 35.5℃ even during 15W wireless charging, and under heavy load, such as using a phone while it charges, the system adjusts power delivery and can switch to an external power mode.
MagSafe attachment
A newly developed N54 high-strength magnet module combines an N54 neodymium magnet ring with a double-layer, 64-turn high-purity copper coil in a 0.9mm space. The maker says this arrangement is about 40% slimmer than typical magnet structures. Listed compatibility covers the iPhone 16, iPhone 15, iPhone 14, iPhone 13 and iPhone 12 series, plus low-current devices such as smartwatches.
