MusicCam Pro
A headset camera that pairs 4K POV capture with live streaming, team intercom and open-ear music
Editor’s view
Why it matters
Point-of-view footage usually comes with friction: guessing at framing, waiting on transfers, then spending hours in an editor. MusicCam Pro, a headset camera presented as a Kickstarter project, is pitched as a way to collapse that workflow so capture, editing and sharing happen close to real time.
Capture and framing
The maker says the headset records at 4K resolution and uses 6-axis stabilization working with an algorithm to absorb vibration from cycling or walking on uneven ground, positioning it as an alternative to a separate gimbal or stabilization in post. A slide-out lens module extends by 0.5cm to clear glasses or a helmet, offering a 92° wide field of view, with ±15° of vertical adjustment to align the frame with the wearer's line of sight. Wi-Fi 6 is used for transfers to a phone, and a live preview shows the shot on the phone screen while recording.
Streaming, intercom and audio
According to the maker, MusicCam Pro supports one-tap live streaming without additional equipment setup, plus a Team Talk intercom feature for staying in contact with companions while riding or hiking. Dual ENC microphones are said to reduce background noise such as wind and traffic. An offline music feature plays audio through open-ear speakers, so the wearer can listen without earphones while remaining aware of their surroundings.
Editing and the app
An AI auto-edit function is described as analyzing raw footage, pulling out highlights and cutting them to a rhythm. A switch between vertical video for TikTok, Reels and Shorts and 16:9 horizontal video for YouTube is operated with a slide, the maker says, without cropping or re-editing. The companion smart app gathers AI vision, an AI assistant, translation, smart editing, live preview, streaming, intercom and offline music in a single interface.
- IP68 waterproof rating, with rain, underwater shooting and snorkeling cited as use cases
- 600mAh battery; quick charge to 80% in 35 minutes, per the maker
- Optional 9500mAh charging case that can also charge a phone and protects the headset in transit
- Two colors: black and orange
Taken together, the campaign frames MusicCam Pro as a wearable that merges an action camera, a communications headset and an open-ear audio device. All performance figures above are the maker's own claims.
