Why it matters
Launch monitors are good at telling golfers what happened: ball speed, spin, carry. They are less helpful at explaining which body movement changed the club path and produced that push to the right. NeoPace pitches the G10 Pro, a Kickstarter project, as a way to close that gap between the numbers and their cause.
Body, club and ball in one capture
The maker says two impact cameras record at up to 480fps and a player camera at up to 120fps, working alongside a 24GHz Doppler radar to track body, club and ball simultaneously. The radar is rated for ball speeds up to 223.7mph. Swings are rebuilt as a 3D replay that can be rotated through 360°, with quick jumps to seven key positions, so the relationship between pelvis, thorax and arms can be viewed from any angle rather than only face-on or down-the-line video.
NeoPace lists 49 measured parameters: 22 for ball and club and 27 for the body. These include carry, total distance, ball speed, launch direction and angle, backspin, sidespin, spin axis, club speed, attack angle, face angle, club path and smash factor, plus posture, chest and pelvis rotation, side bend, sway, balance and joint movement. TrainerIQ links this data in a body-to-club-to-ball sequence to suggest what may have led to a given result. Standard balls work, and a dedicated Tracking Ball lets the system read spin directly from its markings.
Setup and software
- Motorized gimbal with 120° pan and 40° tilt that, per the maker, auto-detects the ball and frames the player; no alignment sticks needed
- Placed about 1.3–1.7m from the ball, usable in Face-on and Down-the-Line positions
- Suited to home, garage, yard, range and indoor use, for left- and right-handed golfers
- Connects to GSPro and Creative Golf with no additional NeoPace unlock fee
- After initial setup, swing detection, ball tracking, video recording and history review work offline
Core features, including ball and club data, replays and on-device session history, are available without a subscription, and the free tier includes AI analysis for up to 5 shots per month across 3D Swing Analysis and TrainerIQ Analysis. A Premium Individual plan raises that to up to 1,000 shots per month and adds text questions to TrainerIQ, Performance Insights, personalized drills, practice goals and cloud storage.
Testing and coverage
The campaign shares results from Engineering Sample Batch 2, measured in continuous, unfiltered runs of 120 shots indoors and 120 outdoors, checking ball speed, carry and spin indoors and ball speed, carry and launch angle outdoors. Its FAQ also references real-world testing including comparisons with TrackMan and Garmin and evaluation by PGA coaches. The G10 Pro has been covered by outlets including Golfweek, Independent Golf Reviews, New Atlas and Yanko Design, and a hands-on session by The Average Golfer has been published.
