NOMADE 58

NOMADE 58 targets a familiar problem: phones, wallets and transit cards lost at the bottom of a bag, passports worried over in crowded places, and belongings caught in sudden rain. MOW's answer is a hoodie designed as wearable storage for commuting, shopping and short trips, developed around the idea of reacting faster, protecting more reliably and carrying smarter.

A layered pocket system

The maker describes the 28 pockets and 58 functions as a flexible system that wearers adapt to their own routines, shifting between speed, security and protection as needed. Its Quick Access System places frequently used items within easy reach; the maker says a phone or transit card can be pulled from a front pocket in 1 second.

Behind the traditional kangaroo pocket sit Gravity-Assisted Pockets, a vertical storage arrangement for slightly larger items such as a travel wallet. According to MOW, the weight of the contents pulls the pocket down naturally so items come out without snagging. Inner Secure Storage adds hidden pockets on the inside, close to the body, intended for passports, credit cards and travel insurance documents.

Materials and fit

• N58 Fabric main body: 84% organic cotton and 16% recycled polyester, 360g/m², described as MOW's signature fabric, with multiple double-twisted yarn torsion for tear resistance and durability
• StormProof Shields: 3-layer 100% recycled nylon (N66) placed in high-demand areas such as cuffs, collar and pocket openings, said to be waterproof, windproof, tear- and abrasion-resistant with 4-way stretch
• 4-way stretch accommodates a ±4cm (about 2 inches) variation in garment measurements, according to the maker
• Hybrid US/EU sizing; the maker suggests most people choose their usual size, while larger builds or those unsure may size up for chest room
