Orioners T6

A modular EDC system pairing Gr5 titanium with a Damascus steel cutting tool and magnetic clip

Editor’s view

Why it matters

Orioners T6 is a Kickstarter project that aims to consolidate keys and small tools into a single, modular carry system. Rather than a fixed-function multitool, it is pitched as a set of components that can be recombined to suit the user, built around a magnetic attachment system.

Titanium body, Damascus edge

The body is made from Gr5 titanium alloy, a high-strength material also used in aerospace. The maker highlights its low density and corrosion resistance, saying it is lighter than typical steel and holds up against rust and wear. The cutting tool is Damascus steel, chosen for its distinctive patterning, sharpness and wear resistance, and intended for tasks such as cutting rope, opening packages or emergency use.

Tools on board

  • Flathead and Phillips screwdriver, for eyeglass screws and small repairs
  • Hex wrenches (4mm & 6mm), aimed at bicycle maintenance and DIY
  • Bottle opener
  • Key ring function for keys and small items

Magnetic, modular carry

The maker describes the magnetic attachment system as the T6's defining feature. A built-in magnetic clip lets it attach quickly to bags, belts or belt loops, and modules can be combined according to use. An elastic bungee cord that extends up to 110cm is also described, allowing the tool to stay in a pocket or bag and be pulled out when needed, or used to secure a phone or gear.

Orioners positions the T6 for both city commuters and outdoor users such as hikers, campers and cyclists. Additional modules and new designs are mentioned as possibilities for the future, though no specifics are given.
