Phone translation apps tend to stumble in noisy cafés, lag on international calls and stop working entirely without a signal. PlumCat AI is pitched as an answer to all three: a wearable translator the maker describes as one of the smallest in its class, weighing 7.4 grams.

Three ways to wear it

According to the maker, the device ships with a pendant strap for wearing it as a necklace and two bracelet straps for the wrist. It can also be clipped to a shirt collar or a small pocket, which the campaign suggests helps it pick up speakers across a table in multi-person meetings.

Noise reduction and language coverage

The maker claims a 99.9% noise-reduction system that filters out traffic, crowd chatter and background music, isolating the speaker's voice before it reaches the AI. Online, PlumCat AI is said to support languages from more than 160 countries; offline, 30 languages are available once their data has been downloaded to the device. The offline set includes Japanese, English, Chinese, Cantonese, Korean, Russian, Thai, Vietnamese, French and Spanish.

Everything runs through a single companion app, which the maker says handles mode switching via tabs, offline language downloads, voice sensitivity tuned to each wearing style, noise-reduction levels, and saving and reviewing meeting records. The campaign also states that all listed features can be used with no additional fees or subscriptions, and that OTA updates will continue to improve accuracy, add languages and refine the modes at no extra cost.
