Why it matters

NIID says its original Radiant I, released in 2019, reached more than 500,000 creators, explorers and urban adventurers. Radiant II keeps the compact-carry idea but builds it around reconfiguration: according to the maker, the bag is meant to keep gear organized while adapting as a day moves from work to sightseeing to the commute home.

Glide-Track™ and modular carry

At the core is the Glide-Track™ system, which the maker says lets users rearrange the layout of their gear in seconds. NIID frames this as "weight on demand": carrying only what a given moment requires. The design is also described as future-proof, with upcoming modules such as straps and organizers intended to extend the system.

The pre-installed WING Pocket detaches for high-frequency items like keys, AirPods, cards and a power bank. A separately sold Ultra-Slim Tech Sling holds a phone, cables and small electronics. According to the maker, the two modules combine in 15 seconds into a lighter Compact Daily Sling for everyday outings.

Fit, stability and access

  • Fast-Fit Adjustment: slides to reposition in seconds, switching between easy access and a slimmer rider mode, per the maker.
  • Stealth Stash Zone: a discreet rear pocket for valuables such as a wallet or phone.
  • Orthodox Stabilizer Strap: intended to keep the bag from swaying on rough paths or during sudden bus stops.
  • Comfort Redefined: wide, ergonomic straps with cloud-like padding meant to reduce shoulder pressure.
  • Dual external mesh pockets: a reinforced redesign of the earlier signature central compartment, for a water bottle, tripod or umbrella without eating into interior space.
  • Unified Access Plane: all pockets and compartments face a single plane, so the bag needn't be rotated to find things.
  • Purpose-built pockets: each designed for specific items such as charging cables.

Materials

Three options are listed. Black Matrix pairs polyester with TPU for a waterproof finish and is described as a Kickstarter-exclusive edition. Black Diamond Grid and Grey Shadow Grid use eco-polyester with a water-repellent finish aimed at everyday splashes and sweat.
