STYLEPIE U Cable Pro

Most cables just connect things. The STYLEPIE U Cable Pro is pitched as something more: a USB-C cable with a TF card slot built into it, so the cable itself can act as expandable storage while it carries data and power between devices.

Storage inside the cable

According to the maker, the integrated TF card slot supports cards of up to 1TB, removing the need for a separate card reader. The slot is described as hot-swappable, meaning cards can be inserted and removed while the cable is connected, a detail aimed at people moving video and high-resolution images between machines.

Data and power

The maker says the cable supports the USB4.0 standard with transfer speeds of up to 40Gbps, and that it can charge and transfer data at the same time. On the power side, it is rated for Power Delivery (PD) 3.1 charging at up to 240W, which the maker positions as enough for current laptops, gaming laptops and external monitors with higher power demands.

Build and compatibility

With USB-C at both ends, the cable is described as compatible with devices across operating systems, with the maker citing MacBook, iPad Pro, the Samsung Galaxy series and Windows laptops. STYLEPIE says the cable uses durable materials and a compact design meant to fit in a bag or pocket, in line with the brand's stated concept, "Elevating Connectivity, Redefining Style."

The product was launched as a Kickstarter project, where, according to the source, it raised more than $28,000 against a $2,000 goal. STYLEPIE is also said to have developed other distinctive cable products before this one.
