ViewDock Gen2

A vertical aluminum mini PC with a built-in 4.5-inch status display, quad 4K output and Qi charging on top

Why it matters

Mini PCs usually force a trade-off: chase performance and the box grows, shrink it and the ports disappear. ViewDock Gen2 is the maker's attempt to sidestep that compromise with a vertical, precision-machined aluminum chassis measuring 175×138×51mm and weighing 2.3lbs (approx. 1.04kg). According to the maker, the metal body dissipates heat better than plastic enclosures, and cabling is concentrated on the front and rear to keep the desk tidy.

A second screen built in

The most distinctive element is a 4.5-inch display integrated into the chassis. The maker describes it as a workflow aid rather than a simple subscreen: it can be customized to show a calendar, chat notifications, system information such as CPU usage and remaining memory, or a photo slideshow. It switches on and off with the device. Externally, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4 and a full-featured USB-C (USB4.0) port allow up to four monitors including the built-in screen, with every output rated by the maker for 4K at 120Hz.

Ryzen inside, room to expand

Processor options are the AMD Ryzen 6900HX, 7735H and 7640H, with a maximum boost clock of 4.9GHz and Radeon 680M integrated graphics. Two DDR5 SODIMM slots take up to 64GB (32GB×2) at 4800MHz/5600MHz, while dual M.2 2280 slots support SATA3, PCIe 3.0/4.0 and NVMe, with up to 2TB per slot for 4TB total, letting a fast NVMe drive and a high-capacity SATA drive sit side by side.

  • DC power input, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4
  • Full-featured USB-C and USB4.0 Type-C
  • USB 2.0×2 and USB 3.0×2
  • 2.5Gbps RJ45 Ethernet×2
  • 3.5mm audio jack
  • Wi-Fi 6 (AX201 module) and Bluetooth 5.2

Charging, cooling and software

A 15W Qi wireless charging module on top of the unit can charge compatible phones and earbuds placed on it, a feature the maker notes is rare in mini PCs. Cooling combines a 4000RPM fan, a vapor chamber and vents on all sides; the maker claims chassis temperatures of roughly 30–45℃ under heavy load. The unit ships with a Windows 10/11 trial version preinstalled, is stated to fully support Linux, and comes with a 120W power adapter rated for 100–240V.
